A. OBJECTIVES: 
 1. Knowledge:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to
- Pupils can ask and answer questions about what subjects the other speaker has for 
the current day. 
- Listen and tick the correct pictures.
- Sentence Patterns: What subjects do you have today? − I have ____.
- Vocabulary: Maths, Science, IT, Vietnamese, Art, Music
2. Skills:
- Listening and speaking.
3. Attitudes/ Quality: 
- Love their class, love subjects
- Have positive attitudes with subjects
- United friend
4. Forming competence:
- To know talk about subjects in their class
- Practise in pairs

1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, projector/TV, laptop, flashcards, real objects

C. PROCEDURES: 
*. Warm up: 
 Greeting: names, age, day, date
- Show a video about subjects
I. Presentation
1. Vocabulary:
- Subject: môn học
- Maths: môn toán
- Vietnamese: môn tiếng việt
- English: môn tiếng anh
- Art: môn mĩ thuật
- Music: môn âm nhạc
- Science: môn khoa học
- IT: môn tin học - (be) late: muộn học

2. Dialogue:
*. Set the scene:
• Whole class: Have pupils turn their books to Page 52
- Ask pupils about the characters in the pictures 
- Explain the meaning of the language practised. 
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the 
appropriate line in their books. 
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles.
- Repeat the steps a few times. 
- Some Ss role play and the others comment.
- Ask Ss to role play.
- Ask Ss to role play before the class.
3. Form:
- Elicit the model sentences:
 What subjects do you have today ?
 I have Maths, Vietnamese and English.
II. Practice
1. Point and say
- Play the CD for sts listen through the activities given
- Sts listen, point and repeat
- Explain the pattern:
 What subjects do you have today ?
 I have Maths, .
- Model
- Ask sts to point and say about the subjects by asking and answering Qs about 
them.
- Have pupils point and say a few times 
- Ask sts to practice in pairs to say about the subjects base on the model
- Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the 
class observe and give comments if possible. 
3. Listen and tick: 
- Have pupils look the pictures with the subjects in each number
- Get sts say aloud - Tell the pupils that they are going to listen 3 dialoges and tick the correct pictures 
withs names of subjects.
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and choose the correct answers. 
- Compare the answers with the partners.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. 
- T gets the answer:
- Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.

2. Dialogue:

- Ask pupils the names of the characters and where they are: Nam and Tom
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the 
appropriate line in their books. 
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles.
- Repeat the step a few times. 
- Some Ss role play and the others comment.
- Ask Ss to role play.
- Ask Ss to role play before the class.

II. Practice
1. Point and say
- Ask Sts to look at the pictures given. - Play CD for sts listen and repeat all the days given
- Read the words and have pupils read in chorus, individuals.
- Explain the pattern:
 - When do you have Science?
 I have it on Monday and Thursday.
- Ask pupils about what they get information to say.
- Tell them that they are going to ask and act out Sam, Fred, Mimi, Winnie to 
answer when you have Science.
- Have pupils act out the characters to ask and answer about the subjects 
- Call on all pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the class 
observe and give respond. 
2. Let’s talk:
- Ask them to read the questions given: 
 What subjects do you have today? 
 When do you have English?
 Who is your _________ teacher?
- Ask pupils to answer the questions.
- Have pupils ask and answer in pairs.
- Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation (stress, assimilation of sounds and 
intonation), and offer help when necessary. 
- Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the 
class observe and give comments if possible. 
- Make a few questions to check pupils' comprehension of the language. 
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus
*Suggested answer: 1. I have Maths, Vietnamese, English and Science.
 2. I have it on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

3. Listen and number:
- Have pupils look at the pictures a, b, c and d on page 55 of the Student Book.
- Get sts the information in 4 pictures
- Give feedback
- Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and
 match the information they hear to the pictures by numbering the boxes.
- Play the recording twice for pupils to listen and number the boxes. 
- Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. 
- T gives the answer:
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.

III. Production: Play the “Puzzle” game - Have sts look at the crosswords puzzle withs pictures about subjects’book’s
 - Devide class into two teams to write the names of subjects
