Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to - Pupils can ask and answer questions about what subjects the other speaker has for the current day. - Listen and tick the correct pictures. - Sentence Patterns: What subjects do you have today? − I have ____. - Vocabulary: Maths, Science, IT, Vietnamese, Art, Music 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Love their class, love subjects - Have positive attitudes with subjects - United friend 4. Forming competence: - To know talk about subjects in their class - Practise in pairs B. TEACHING AIDS: 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, projector/TV, laptop, flashcards, real objects 2. Student’s aids: school things C. PROCEDURES: *. Warm up: Greeting: names, age, day, date - Show a video about subjects I. Presentation 1. Point and say - Play the CD for sts listen through the activities given - Sts listen, point and repeat - Explain the pattern: What subjects do you have today ? I have Maths, . - Model - Ask sts to point and say about the subjects by asking and answering Qs about them. - Have pupils point and say a few times - Ask sts to practice in pairs to say about the subjects base on the model - Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible. 3. Listen and tick: - Have pupils look the pictures with the subjects in each number - Get sts say aloud - Tell the pupils that they are going to listen 3 dialoges and tick the correct pictures withs names of subjects. - Play the recording twice for pupils listen and choose the correct answers. - Compare the answers with the partners. - Play the recording again pupils check their answers. - T gets the answer: - Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction. - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. * Answer: 1- b ; 2 -a ; 3- c III. The rest of the class observe and give respond. 2. Let’s talk: - Ask them to read the questions given: What subjects do you have today? When do you have English? Who is your _________ teacher? - Ask pupils to answer the questions. - Have pupils ask and answer in pairs. - Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation (stress, assimilation of sounds and intonation), and offer help when necessary. - Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible. - Make a few questions to check pupils' comprehension of the language. - Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus *Suggested answer: 1.
