A. Aims: 
 By the end of the period, Ss will be able to practice phonics “cl” in “clothes, 
close” and “fl” in “flowers, floor”.

1. Lexical items: ( Revision)
2. Phonics: “cl” in “clothes, close”; “fl” in “flowers, floor”. 
C. Teaching aids:
- English book 4, chalk, board, computer. 
D. Procedures:
I. Warm up :
- Play Kim’s game
II. New lesson: 
1. Listen and repeat. 
- Tell Ss that they are going to practice saying the sounds of the letters “cl” in 
“clothes, close” and “fl” in “flowers, floor”. 
- Play the tape for Ss to listen and repeat twice.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs.
- Get some Ss to perform in front of the class. Check as a class and correct the 
pronunciation. 
2. Listen and write. Then say aloud. 
- Set the context: How many questions are there? 
- Ask Ss to listen and tick. Then write.
- Guide Ss how to write. 
- Play the tape twice for Ss to listen and tick. 
- Get Ss to compare with their partner. 
- Give feedback.

3. Let’s chant.
- Ask Ss to tell the name of the chant.
- Have Ss to listen to the chant once.
- Have Ss to listen and chant in chorus a few times.
- Have Ss to chant each line. - Ask Ss to practice chanting in pair. 
- Listen and chant along.
- Call some Ss to chant and the whole class give comments.
