 LESSON 2 (1.2.3)
I - Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to ask for and give reasons for going somewhere.
 Skills: Listening, speaking skills.
Language focus:
-Vocabulary: buy, film, hungry, busy
-Sentence patterns: Why do you want to go to the .? Because I want to .
II - Teaching aids:
 - Teacher’s aids: Student’s Book Tiếng Anh 4, recordings.
- Students’ aids: Student’s book, workbook, notebook, pen, eraser, pencil 
III - Procedures:
1. Organization(1’): - Greeting.
 - Checking for the students' attendance.
2. Oral test (1’): Check pupils’ books, note books 
3. New lesson:

 * Warm-up: (4’) - Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson 
 by calling some pupils to the front of the class to Whole class 
 sing the song Let’s go. Ask the rest of the class to 
 sing together, clapping hands.
 * Presentation: - Tell the class that they are going to learn to ask 
 (9’) for and give a reason.

 - Play the recording more than once, if necessary, 
 for pupils to listen and repeat the language. Do

about reasons for going somewhere.
Skills: Listening, speaking, writing skills.
Language focus:
-Vocabulary: buy, film, hungry, busy
-Sentence patterns: Why do you want to go to the .? Because I want to .
II - Teaching aids:
 - Teacher’s aids: Student’s Book Tiếng Anh 4, recordings.
- Students’ aids: Student’s book, workbook, notebook, pen, eraser, pencil 
III - Procedures:

 checking as a class.

 6. Let’s play - Tell pupils that they are going to play the Whole class 
 Where and why game Where and why to practice suggesting 
 places to go and giving reasons.
 - Prepare pieces of paper with names of 
 places and put them into a box. Divide the 
 class into groups of three. Ask two groups to 
 go to the front. Group 1 should draw a slip of 
 paper from the box and say Let’s go to the . 
 Group 2 should ask Why do you want to go to 
 the ? After that, the two groups swap roles. 
 Then invite another two groups of Ss to the 
 front and continue.
4. Consolidation:(2 minutes) 
- T asks some Ss to summary the lesson.
5. Home-link:(1 minute) - Ss prepare new lesson.
