 Warm-up : Vanishing Flashcards Game 
 - Place flashcards of color ( red, pink, blue, white, yellow) in front of the students. 
 - Give them a moment to memorize the pictures and then tell them to close their eyes. - Take away one of the flashcards and then tell the students to open their eyes again. 
- The first student who guesses the missing flashcard correctly can win that flashcard 
(for 1 point) and takes away another flashcard in the next round.
Activity 1: Listen and circle (A or B). 
- Have students look at the pictures. Point to each person in the pictures and have students 
call out the people they see. 
- Play audio and have students look at the picture and people.
- Demonstrate the activity by pointing at the example.
- Have students listen and circle. 
- Check the answers as a whole class.
- Point at each person in the picture and have students say "This is my mother/...".
- Have some students demonstrate the activity in front of the class.
Activity 2: B- Play "Guess the picture."
- Have students look at the example.
- Divide the class into two teams.
- Have a student stand facing away from the board and stick a flashcard on the board 
behind him/her.
- Have the student try to guess the color and make a sentence without looking at the 
flashcard. Have the others say “Yes” for the correct sentence and “No” for the wrong 
sentence.
- Give that team one point if it's a correct guess.
- Have teams take turns.

Tell pupils that they are going to listen to three dialogues about school subjects and 
tick the correct pictures.
• Have them look at the pictures. Ask them what these subjects are called in English. 
Have pupils point to the pictures and say aloud the names of the subjects in English.

• Play the recording more than once, if necessary. Ask pupils to listen to the
recording and tick the correct pictures. Tell them to focus on the subjects.

have on each day. Tell them that the days and subjects are written in Vietnamese. Ask

• Ask pupils to find appropriate words to complete the sentence under each picture.

Tell pupils that they are going to read a story in which pupils ask and answer 
questions about their timetables.
• Give them a few seconds to look at the pictures and read the text. Get them to 
identify the characters and the setting of the conversation by asking Who’s this? What 
are they doing? What are they talking about? (In Picture a, a friend asks Nam what he 
is doing. In Picture b, he continues to ask When do you have English? and Nam answers I have it on Mondays, Tuesdays,

choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking.
