II. New lesson:
1. Listen and read: 
 - Present Phil and Sue
- Elicit the names of things and animals in the 4 pictures given
- Sts say 
- T check and correct
- Run through the names of things- Sts listen and repeat
- Have sts look at the pictures
- Read sentences one by one – sts listen and repeat
- Have sts practice reading the dialogue in pairs
- Call some sts read aloud
- Give feedback
2. Look and circle:
- Have sts retell names of things and animals in the dialogue
- Draw things on the board
- Have sts look at the words given and decide which are mentioned in the dialogue 
above to circle
- Sts discuss in pairs to circle the words
- Call some sts come to the board and circle the words
- Have sts give feedback
- Check and give feedback

1. Listen and circle:
- Show 4 pairs of letters 
- Have sts look and retell names of letters and their sounds one by one
- Give feedback
- Read – sts repeat
- Present sts how to do the task
- Play listening task for sts listen and circle the letters
- Get sts’answer
- Check and give feedback
 * Answer key: 1. e; 2. o; 3. h; 4. m
2. Listen and tick: 
- Elicit students the names of things in pairs in the pictures given
- Give feedback
- Have sts run through the names of things and animals again
- Present what they have to do in this part
- Play the CD. Have the students listen and tick (twice)
- Get sts’answers
- Play the CD again. The students listen and check their answer 
- Give feedback
