- Love their school things
- Keep your school things clean and tidy.
4. Forming competence: 
- Be able identify school things.
- Work in pairs
B. TEACHING AIDS:
1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, projector/TV, laptop, flashcards, real objects

C. PROCEDURES: 
*. Warm up: Hang man
- Expalin how to play
- Give a word with eleven letters ( Rubber)
- Let sts play the game.
- Raise the winner.
- Lead in the new lesson.
I. Presentation
1. Vocabulary:
 - Pen: bút mực (object)
 - Pencil: bút chì (object)
 - Rubber: cục tẩy (object)
 - Pencil case: hộp bút (object)
 - Notebook: quyển vở (object)
- School bag: cặp sách (object)
 - Pencil sharpener: gọt bút chì(object)
- Ask ss to read in chorus, individually - Check vocab: Matching
2. Dialogue:
*. Set the scene:
 - Ask sts to identify the characters in the pictures on page 52 and what they are 
 saying.
 - Set the scene “you are going to listen to talking of Mr Robbot and Linda” .
 - Play the recording for sts to listen to the tape.
 - Ask sts to listen again and repeat in chorus two times
 - Ask ss to read in chorus, group and individually.
 - Check vocab: Matching
 - Call on ss to practice dialogue again.
 - Get sts to do further practice in pairs.
 - Call on some pairs to report.
 - Give feedback.
3. Form
Elicit the sentence patter: This is my pen.
II. Practice
1. Point and say
- Have ststo look at pictures on Page 52. Elicit the characters in the pictures and 
things’ names. 
- Recall the sentence pattern in part 1
- Have ss to say aloud and do the actions
- Ask ss to practice more
- Monitor the activity and offer help. 
- Call on some pairs to perform their task at the front of the class. The rest of the 
class observe and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their 
pronunciation.
- Correct pronunciation errors (stress, assimilation of sounds, intonation) when 
necessary.
2. Let’s talk
- Ask sts to look at the pictures in the book. Ask them to identify the characters in 
the pictures. 
- Ask sts to work in pairs to introduce one’s friend and respond to the introduction. 
- Call some pairs to act out.
- Correct their pronunciation
3. Listen and tick
- Have sts to look at pictures a, b, c on page 53 of the Student Book. Give the 
identification of the objects in the pictures . 
- Give instruction. - Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and tick the boxes.
- Ask sts to compare the answers with the partner.
- Play the recording again for sts to check their answers. 
- Announce the answers.
- Ask some questions to ensure sts’ comprehension of the listening text

III. Production: 
- Ask ss to play a game of Pelmanism, using the vocabulary learnt.

- Elicit the character and have sts to guess what they are saying.
- Set the scene.
- Have sts listen to the recording as they read the lines in the speech bubbles
- Play the recording again for sts to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles two 
times.
- Divide the class into two groups. One repeat Mai’s part and the other repeat Mr 
Robbot’s part.
- Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the speech 
bubbles to reinforce their pronunciation. Do the same with the dialogue in picture 
b.

- Teach how to change singular nouns into plural nouns

- Ask ss to read in chorua, group and individually.

- Ask sts to act out the dialogue1. Repeat the step with some other pairs for 
pictures 
- Have sts to practice acting out the dialogue in pairs, using the pictures.
- Monitor the activity and offer help. Correct pronunciation errors (stress, 
assimilation of sounds, intonation) when necessary.
- Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The others observe 
and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their 
pronunciation.

- Show picture and give task.
- Have sts to work in pairs to show things.
- Display in class, others comment
- Listen and correct.
3. Listen and number
- Ask sts to describe the pictures on page 55. 
+ Tell sts the way to listen.

- Play the tape all the way through for sts to listen.
- Ask sts to listen again and number. 
- Ask sts to compare with their partners.

- Give feedback by opening the tape once and check.
