* Warm up: brainstorm “activities”
Activities 1. Read and complete.
• Tell the class that they are going to read the passage and fill in the blanks with the 
suggestion words.
• Give them a few seconds to read the passage. Check their understanding. Then ask 
them to read the text in silence and do the task independently.
• Get them to swap and read their answers before checking as a class. Announce the 
answers to the class. Give explanations for the answers which pupils find difficult.

Activity 2. Read and match.
• Tell the class that they are going to read the questions in column A to match with the 
right answers in column B.
• Give a time limit for them to do the task independently. Go around offering help, if

Task 1. Read and listen to the story
- Tell the class that they are going to read and listen to the story.
- Ask pupils to look at the pictures and ask them question:
Who are they? Where are they? What are they doing?
- Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, and follow in their books.
- Play it again for them to listen and repeat
- Then ask them to practice the conversation in groups of three.
- Call on some groups to practice the dialogue.
- Give feedback.
Task 2. Put the words in the correct orders
- Tell pupils that they are going to Put the words in the correct orders with the 
information in the story.
- Give them time to look at the story again, then compare the answers
- Invite some ss to write the answers on the boards.

 2. Let’s read a book

 4 . Nini is listening to music. Task 3. Match the rhyming words 
- Tell pupils that they are going to match the rhyming words.
- Give them time to do the task.
