Week 7 Date of teaching: 1A, 1B ( /25/10/2021), 1C ( 26/10/2021) Period: 6 UNIT 3: COLORS Lesson 1: A,B,C,D,E+ Lesson 2: 1,2,3,4 A. OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge By the end of this lesson, students will be able to - Name the basic colors: ( Red, yellow, blue) - Review /ổ/ , /b/ sounds. 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ Listening and speaking skills 3. Competences - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 4. Quality - Humane - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, projector/TV, laptop, real objects 2. Students’ aids: Shool things C. PROCEDURES * Warm up: Guessing game - Students work in groups. - Show a half of a picture of a school thing. - Students work in groups to try to guess what object in the picture is. - The students who gives a correct guessing will get one point. * New lesson - Introduce the new lesson and write on the board. I . Presentation I. Presentation 1. Teach vocabulary - Use real objects to introduce the new words: (red, yellow, blue.) - Have students listen to each new word. - Show the pictures of the part A on the projector and ask students to open the books. - Play audio, and point to each flashcard for students to listen - Play audio again and have students point to the pictures in their books. - Play audio again and have students listen and repeat. - Have students work in pairs, one of them points to the picture in the book and the other says the word. - Call some pairs to the board and check. - Introduce the sentence pattern: (It’s (red) - Have Sts listen and repeat sometimes - Have Sts use flashcards to introduce about family members in groups of four - Give comments 2. Play game Play game : Spelling game - Divide the class into two teams and play a spelling game.Write the words red, yellow, blue, ant, boy on the board with one of the letters missing.Hold up there levant card.Children shout out thewordand the missing letter. - Teams take turns. Knowledge By the end of this period, pupils will be able to: - Ask and answer about the number of objectives using the structure “How many (circles) are there?” Review the sound of letters – “Nn” and “Oo” - Vocabulary: eleven, twelve, thirteen. fourteen,fifteen. 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ Listening and speaking skills 3. Competences - Building up interests and good habits in learning English - Building up awareness of taking care of others in their family or community - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Students can use number eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen to ask and answer. 4. Arrange the flashcards on the board, play audio, and point to each flashcard. - Play audio again and have students point to the numbers in their books. - Play audio again and have students listen and repeat. - Have students work in pairs, one points to the numbers and one says the words. Swap roles. 2. Introduce sentence pattern - Have students look at the picture, identify it and call out the new words they can see. - Ask some questions about the picture: What can you see in the picture? Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Ask and answer questions about the number of lessons the other speaker has that day. - Sentence Patterns: How many lessons do you have today? – I have _______. - Vocabulary: have, days of the week (abbreviation), Maths, IT, Science, Science, Art, Music, Vietnamese, PE, English. 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ speaking and listening skill. 3. Competences - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Using language to talk about how often someone has a subject 4. I have ... - Review the names of the lessons with the class. - Ask pupils to write down the new word and the structure in their notebook. - Have pupils practice asking and answering in pairs. - Call some pairs to practice in front of the class - Give feedback and correct mistakes of pronunciation. 2. Let’s talk - Tell the class that they are going to practice further by asking and answering questions about lessons. - Get pupils time to work in pairs to ask and answer, using the structure. - Invite a few pairs to act out their conversations in front of the class. - Give feedback 3.
