Knowledge By the end of this lesson, students will be able to - Identify classroom objects. - Vocabulary: pencil, book and bag. - Grammar point: It’s a (book) 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ Listening and speaking skills 3. Competences - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 4. Quality - Humane - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, projector/TV, laptop, real objects 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, rulers, eraser, ruler, crayon, pencil case. C. PROCEDURES Warm-up : Play matching game I. Presentation 1. Teach vocabulary - Use real objects to introduce the new words: (pencil, book and bag.) - Have students listen to each new word. - Show the pictures of the part A on the projector and ask students to open the books. - Play audio, and point to each flashcard for students to listen - Play audio again and have students point to the pictures in their books. - Play audio again and have students listen and repeat. - Have students work in pairs, one of them points to the picture in the book and the other says the word. - Call some pairs to the board and check. - Introduce the sentence pattern: (It’s a (book)) - Have Sts listen and repeat sometimes - Have Sts use flashcards to introduce about family members in groups of four - Give comments II. Knowledge By the end of this period, pupils will be able to: - Identify the shapes of objects. - Ask and answer about the shapes of objects: What shape is it? It’s a (triangle) - Vocabulary: Circle, square, rectangle, triangle - Grammar point: What shape is it? It’s a (triangle) 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ Listening and speaking skills 3. Competences - Building up interests and good habits in learning English - Building up awareness of taking care of others in their family or community - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 4. Teach vocabulary - Use some real objects to introduce the shapes of objects: (Circle, square, rectangle, triangle ) - Have students listen to each new word. - Have students listen to each new word and repeat all together and individually. Correct student’s pronunciation if necessary. - Arrange the flashcards on the board, play audio, and point to each flashcard. - Play audio again and have students point to the numbers in their books. - Play audio again and have students listen and repeat. - Play audio again and have students listen and repeat several times. - Change the order of the flashcards, point to them individually and have students say the words, correct pronunciation when needed. - Have students work in pairs, one of them points to the picture in the book and the other says the word. 2. Introduce sentence pattern - Have students look at the picture, identify it and call out the new words they can see. - Ask some questions about the picture: What can you see in the picture? What shape is it? And Ask and answer about the shapes of objects: What shape is it? It’s a (triangle). - Have students look at the useful language box. - Play audio. Have students listen to the useful language. -Have students practice the useful language. II. Practice 1. Play Hot Seat - Divide students into 3 or 4 teams and choose 1 member from each group to sit on the Hot Seat and face the class. - Writes a word on the board, and a member of the student's team sitting on the Hot Seat must describe to help his or her teammate guess the word without saying, spelling, or writing the word's name. The game will continue until all members of the teams have described the vocabulary words to their Hot Seat teammates. 2. Sing - Play audio and have students listen. - Play audio and have students turn to page 68. - Play audio and have students sing the song as a whole class. - Have sts sing the song in pairs. Call some pairs carry our before class. T and Sts give comments. III. Production "Pass the card" game - Divide the class into teams. - Have students from each team stand in a line. - Give the first student of each team a card (Circle, square, rectangle, triangle ) and say "Go." - The students say the corresponding words and pass the cards over their heads to the ones behind them. - Have teams continue the game until their card reaches the last person. - The last student in each line races to hand their card to the teacher and says the word. - Give the first team to name their card correctly one point. - The team that gets the most points wins. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Ask and answer questions about whether someone did something. - Sentence Patterns: Did you .? – Yes, I did. / ̶ No, I didn’t. - Vocabulary: go on a picnic, enjoy the party, join the funfair, watch TV 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ speaking and listening skill. 3. Competences - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Use language to talk about frequency. 4. Quality - Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers. - Love themselves, friends and teachers. B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Dialogue - Set the scene: - Elicit the context of the picture - Ask pupils to look at the picture to point at each character and elicit their answers to the questions: Who’s this? Where are they? What are they doing? - Play the recording for pupils to listen to the tape - Play the recording again and ask them to repeat a few times. - Ask pupils to practice in pairs to act out the dialogue. - Go round and check pupils can repeat and understand the dialogue. - Check some pairs. Let’s talk - Tell class that they are going to practice further by asking and answering questions about whether someone did something - Get sts to work in pairs to act out to ask if they did something in 5 mins - Remind them to use the questions and answers in their books - Monitor and help sts - Call some groups act out their work - Give feedback 3.
