STAGE 3: LEARNING EXPERIENCES/ LEARNING PLAN
Activity 1: Greeting and singing
- Ask pupils to sing the Alphabet song. 
Activity 2: Find the objects
- Hide some toys, school objects in the class.
- Have students go around the class and find the toys and objects. 
- Have students work in pairs. One asks: “ How many .?” and one answers the 
 question.
Activity 3: Matching .
 - Write three sentences: “ This is my living room.” “ This is my bedroom.” “ This is 
 my kitchen.” on the board. 
- Have students read the sentences on the board. 
- Give students flashcards.
- Have students hold the flashcards to match the sentences on the board and read 
 them aloud.
Activity 4: Draw and say
- Have students draw their toys or school objects in a piece of paper then work in 
pairs. Student A makes questions with “ How many .?” and student B answers the 
questions.
Activity 5: Play the “ Chain” game
- Have students look at the example.
- Divide the class into groups of four.
- Have the students stand up.
- Have Student A turn to Student B and say a sentence, then have Student B say a 
 sentence.
- Next, have Student B turn to Student C and say a sentence, then have Student C say 
 a sentence.
- Continue until all students have practiced.
- Have some groups demonstrate the activity in front of the class.
Activity 5: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Ask students to answer the following questions: 
1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
(Review the learnt knowledge)
2. What’re the core values of the lesson? 
(Have a sense of remembering the knowledge.)

Warm-up :“Memory” game
- Divide the class into three teams.
- Invite one student from each group to come to the board.
- Place some flashcards or writes some words on the board (about 15 – 20 flashcards 
or words).
- Give the students some time to memorize as much words as possible. 
- When the time is up, the students write down what they have memorized.
- The student who has the most correct words gets points for his/her team.
Repeat with different students.
1. Activity 1: Look. Match. (Give each student a worksheet. )
- Have students look at the pictures and call out what they can see.
- Demonstrate the activity using the example.
- Have students match the objects with their shadows and the corresponding words.
Check answers as a whole class.
2. Activity 2: Look. Write. (Give each student a worksheet.) 
- Divide the class into pairs.
- Have Student A calls out the words.
- Have Student B writes down the words under the corresponding pictures.
Check answers as a whole class.
3. Activity 3: Listen. Circle. (Give each student a worksheet.) 
- Have students identify the pictures and call out their names, guess the correct 
pictures could be.
- Play audio. Demonstrate the activity using the example.

- Have students make two lines and stand face to face.

Student 1 of the first line asks a question. E. g. “Can you see the bus?” Then student 1 
of the second line answers. E.g “Yes, I can.”.
Swap roles and continue to the end of the lines.

- Play the recording once more for pupils to repeat the whole chant. 
-Put the class into three groups to practice chanting: one chants the questions and the 
other chants the answers
- Get them to practice chanting and doing actions in groups
- Invite three groups to say the chant and do actions
- Give feedback.
