Knowledge By the end of this lesson, students will be able to - Recognize the /e/ sounds and the /f/ sounds. - Vocabulary: Letters Ee, elephant ;Ff, food . 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ Listening and speaking skills 3. Competences - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 4. Quality - Humane - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, projector/TV, laptop, real objects 2. Students’ aids: Shool things C. PROCEDURES * Warm up: Have sts guess the name of animals and sing a song ABC * New lesson - Introduce the new lesson and write on the board. I . Presentation 1. The letter E, the /e/ sound and The letter F, the /f/ sound - Tell the class that they are going to learn two new letters/ sounds - Show the cards E,F T ask : How do you say this letter in Vietnamese? How about in English? Let’s listen - Play audio- Students listen ( 3 times) - Play again- students listen and repeat - Show the flashcard- T: the letter ?- Students: E the sound?- students: /e/ the letter ?- Student : F the sound?- Student:/f/ - Invite some students to say aloud - Gives feedback - Asks ss to work in pairs to practise saying - Teacher goes around to gives help if necessary Gives comments *Trace Teachers: where are your figers ? II. A. OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge By the end of this period, pupils will be able to: - Recognize the /r/ sound and the /s/ sound - Learn new words ( rabbit, robot; sea, sun). 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ Listening and speaking skills 3. Competences - Building up interests and good habits in learning English - Building up awareness of taking care of others in their family or community - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Students can count sixteen, seventeen,eighteen, nineteen, twenty and talk about quanlity 4. PROCEDURES * Warm up: Who is faster? Give the rule : There is a circle with the letters on the floor ( N, P, O, A, B,E) Two students stand in the middle. The teacher says a letter, the students run to the card and say the sound. The student say right is the winner. * New lesson - State the aims of the lesson - Introduce the new lesson and write on the board. I . Presentation 1. Lesson 1 A. OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Ask and answer questions about what the other speaker saw at the zoo. - Sentence Patterns: What did you see at the zoo? – I saw ________. - Vocabulary: see, saw, pythons, crocodiles, peacocks, gorillas. 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ speaking and listening skill. 3. Competences - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Use language to talk about how animals. 4. Quality - Have concentration, listen carefully, express idea during lesson - Confident in communicating with classmates - To help Ss loving English, love animals. B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, projector/TV, laptop, pictures 2. Students’ aids: School things C. PROCEDURES Warm-up : - Get pupils to watch the video about animals and remember the name of them. - Lead into new lesson. I. Presentation 1. Dialogue - Set the scene: - Elicit the context of the picture - Ask pupils to look at the picture to point at each character and elicit their answers to the questions: - Play the recording for pupils to listen to the tape. - Play the recording again and ask them to repeat a few times. - Play the recording again for them to repeat line by line. - Ask pupils to practice in pairs to act out the dialogue. - Go round and check pupils can repeat and understand the dialogue. - Check some pairs. Ask other pupils to give comments. - Give comments. 3. Form -Elicit the sentence pattern: What did you see at the zoo? – I saw monkeys. Form: What did you see at the zoo? – I saw ________. II. Practice 1. Point and say - Tell the class that they are going to practice asking and answering questions about the animals in a zoo, using: What did you see at the zoo? I saw ... - - Read aloud the phrases in each picture for pupils to repeat. - Have pupils practice asking and answering in pairs. - Call some pairs to practice in front of the class - Give feedback and correct mistakes of pronunciation. 2. Let’s talk - Tell the class that they are going to practice further by asking and answering questions about the animals in the zoo. - Get pupils time to work in pairs to ask and answer, using the structure. - Invite a few pairs to act out their conversations in front of the class. - Give feedback 3. Listen and tick - Tell the class that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the correct answers. - Have pupils read the questions in their books. - Play the recording the second time for pupils to listen and tick the boxes. - Get them to compare their answers before checking as a class. - Ask pupils to give answers - Play the recording again for pupils to listen and check - Give correct answers. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Ask and answer questions about what animals did in the zoo. - Sentence Patterns: What did the ___ do when you were there? − They ___. - Vocabulary: tigers, roar loudly / peacocks, move beautifully / pythons, move quietly / pandas, eat slowly 2. Skills: - Develope Ss’ speaking and listening skill. 3. Competences - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Use language to talk about somebody’s character. 4. Quality - Have concentration, listen carefully, express idea during lesson - Confident in communicating with classmates - Love reading books. B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Let’s talk - Tell the class that they are going to practice further by talking about animals they like and what did they do; using: + What are your favourite animals at the zoo? Production Play game Tell pupils that they are going to play Charades. - Divide the class into Team A and Team B. - Stick a large sheet of paper on the board with the following words written on it: slowly, noisily, quickly, loudly, quietly and beautifully. - One pupil of Team A mimes a zoo animal and asks What did I see at the zoo? -The pupils of Team B answer the question. If the answer is correct, Team B wins one point. - Another pupil from Team A mimes an action which that animal does and asks What did they do there? - Team B gives the answer. If the answer is correct, Team B wins another point. - Then it is Team B’s turn to mime and ask questions. - Set a time limit. The two teams take turns to mime and ask questions.
