WEEK: 29 Date of preparing: 10/ 4/ 2021 Date of teaching : 13 /4 / 2021 UNIT 17: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO EAT? Period 112: Lesson 1(P4,5,6) A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Listen and tick. - Read and complete - Singing the song “Healthy eating and drinking?” B. Language focus: Pattern: “ What would you like to eat?I’d like to .. C. Teaching aids: Pictures, Sts’ book, workboook, radio, disc D. Procedure. I. Warm up: - Play Simon says - T guides ss how to play this game - Ss take part in the game II. New lesson: 4. Listen and tick: - T elicits the pictures Tell the class they are going to listen to the recording and tick the correct boxes. - Play the recording all the way through for ss to listen and tick the picture. Play it again for them to complete the task. - Sts listen and number the pictures. - Some Sts call out the answers. - Others give comments. 5. Read and complete: - Tell Ss that they’re going to read the text and fill in the gapped sentnces with food, healthy, eat, sandwich , lunch. - Get Ss to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. - Have some ss rad the completed text aloud. 6. Let’s sing: - T sticks the song on the bb. - Have ss read each line of the lyrics aloud - Play the recording all the way through for ss to listen and follow in their book. - Asks ss to do choral and individual repetition of the song line by line - Play the recording again and get ss to sing along sing, in groups, in invidually III. Homework: - Do exercises in workbook. - Prepare for next lesson. ************************************** WEEK: 29 Date of preparing: 10/ 4/ 2021 Date of teaching :13 / 4 / 2021 UNIT 17: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO EAT? Period 113: Lesson 2(P1,2,3) A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Ask for and give reasons using How can I get to .? - Develop speaking and listening skills. B. Language focus: Pattern: “ How many/ How much do you eat/ drink everyday? I eat/drink C. Teaching aids: Pictures, Sts’ book, workboook, radio, disc D. Procedure. I. Warm up: - Play a game : Guessing game II. New lesson: 1. Look, listen and repeat - T shows the pictures and sets the scene. - Tell ss that they are going to read and listen to a story. - Have Ss look at the pictures and check their comprehension by pointing at the pictures and ask them some question: What are their name? What are they talking about?/What’s the matter with him?.. - Play recording for ss to listen to the story, pionting to the pictures. Play it again for them to repeat. - T gives out the model sentences - T read, Ss repeat T-ss, ss- T, ss-Ss - Ss translate in to vietnamese and copy down. 2. Point and say - Points to the picture and elicits the words in the gaps. - Puts the questions and answers on the bb and gets Ss to repeat. - Do choral and individual repetition. - Gets Ss to work in pairs. - Gives speaking correction. 3. Let’s talk - Tell the class they are going practise by asking and answering questions questions about healthy food and drink. - Sets a time limit for them to practise. -T asks some pairs to stand up and practice speaking. - Other Ss observe and say their comments. III. Homework: - Do exercises in workbook. - Prepare for next lesson. ************************************** WEEK: 29 Date of preparing: 10/ 4/ 2021 Date of teaching : 15 /4 / 2021 UNIT 17: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO EAT? Period 114: Lesson 2(P4,5,6) A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Practise listening and reading. B. Language focus: Pattern: “ How many/ How much do you eat/ drink everyday? I eat/drink C. Teaching aids: Pictures, Sts’ book, workboook, radio, disc D. Procedure. I. Warm up : - Revising the last lesson. II. New lesson: 4. Listen and circle a, b or c - Tell the class that they are going to listen and circlea, b or c - Asks them to read information and guess the answer - T elicits the sentences. - T plays the recording all the way through for pupils to listen - Sts listen and do the task. - Some Ss call out the answers. - Others give comments. - T gets feedback. 5. Read and complete - Tell the class that they are going to read the text and fill the gapped sentences. - Have ss to read the dialoge and check their understanding. Give the meaning of unfamiliar words, if necessary. - Ask ss to work in invidually - T asks Ss do the task for 3 minutes. T goes around for help, if necessary. - T calls some Ss go to the board and read the writing in pairs. The others give comment. - T gives feedback 6. Let’s play: - Tell ss that they are going to label the foods and drinks in the food pyramyd and then tell the class about a healthy diet - T explains how to play this game. - Ask them to in small groups. - Ss listen and take part in this game III. Homework: - Do exercises in workbook. - Prepare for next lesson. ************************************** WEEK: 29 Date of preparing: 10/ 4/ 2021 Date of teaching :15 /4 / 2021 UNIT 17: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO EAT? Period 115: Lesson 3 (P1,2,3) A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Practise saying questions and answer with falling intonation. - Listen and mark the sentences intonation. Then say the sentences aloud. - Practise reading the chant” Healthy and food drink” B. Language focus: Review C. Teaching aids: Pictures, textbook, projector D. Procedure: I. Warm up: - Play a game : Guessing game (Guess the means of transport) - T introduces ss how to play this game II. New lesson: 1. Listen and repeat - Tell ss that they are going to practise saying sentences with falling. intonation. Tell ss to pay attention to sentences intonation. - T shows the sentences, models the sentences intonation. Explain that a negative command or a wh-question is pronouced with a falling tone. - Play the recording all the way for ss to listen first. - Play the recording again for ss to repeat the sentences twice. - Ss listen and repeat 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then ask and answer - T shows the gap-fill on the board and tell ss that they are going to listen and circle a or b. then ask and answer. - Give them a few seconds to read the sentences in silent. - Play the recording for ss to listen and do the task. Then play it again for them to check the answers. - Get them to compare their answers in pairs before checking as a class. - Asks the class to read the completed the sentences aloud. 3. Let’s Chant - T shows the chant on the board and tell ss that they are going to say the chant Healthy food and drink - Have ss read the chant and check their comprehension. - T plays the recording for ss to listen and play it again for them to repeat line by line - Put the class in to two group to practise chating the questions and answer respectively once or twice. - Have rhem practise saying the chant and do the actions. - Calls some ss to chant in front of the class and actions in groups. - Call some group to the front of the class to say the chant and do the actions III. Homework: - Do exercises in workbook. - Prepare for next lesson.
