A. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- pronounce the sound of the letter H/h in isolation and in the words hair, 
hand, head and horse correctly
- Sound /H/h/
- Vocabulary: hair, hand, head and horse 
- Skills: speaking and listening
2. Competences: 
- Know how to practise some sounds.
- Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work.
3. Attitude/ Qualities:
-Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. 
Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love learning 
English 
B. METHODS: 
- Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer.
- Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by 
visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction.
C. TEACHING AIDS:
- Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector.
- Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things.

that contain that sound. -Ss look and listen.
- Divide the class into four groups and give each 
group five cards.
- Ask pupils in each group to hold the flashcards. -Ss play game.
Each pupil holds one card, the other pupils in the 
group observe and help them, if necessary.
- Say one sound, for example /g/. The pupils who -SS play the game

 Activity 1. Listen and chant
 *Aims: Ss will be able to say the sound of the

 hat in a chant 
 *Procedure:
 - Have pupils look at the chant, saying Look at 
 the chant, please!Draw pupils’ attention to the -Ss listen and answer
 first verse and explain its meaning. Ask them to 
 pay attention to the letter H/h and the words 
 Hoa, head, hair. Check comprehension. 
 - Play the recording of the first verse for pupils 
 -Ss listen 
 to listen and to get familiarized with the rhythm,

 - Play the recording all the way through. Ask 
 pupils to listen and repeat the chant individually 
 and in chorus, saying Listen and repeat, please!
 Give further support to those pupils who find it 
 difficult to do the task. 
 - Select some pupils to the front of the class to -Ss chant in front of the class
 chant and clap their hands. The rest of the class 
 may sing the chant and clap their hands along 
 Activity 2 Listen and tick:
 *Aims: Ss will be able to listen, recognize the 
 words and tick the correct boxes.
 *Procedure:
 -Look at the picture and 
 - Have pupils look at the pictures and say what 
 describe.

 Question 1, please! What can you see? Can you

 Draw pupils’ attention to the boxes next to the

 - Write the upper case H and the lower case h in 
 broken lines on the board. -Ss write the letters
 - Check to make sure pupils understand the -Ss listen
 letters written in solid lines and those in broken 
 lines.
 - Ss do the task.
 - Tell pupils to trace the letter H/h
 - Check the results of pupils’ tracing and give 
 -Check in pairs.
