rviews are with famous people, or about interesting events. Simple Sentences Exercise 3: Label the subject, verb and object in these sentences. Ex: Linda traveled to Vietnam. 1. She saw a huge shark. 2. I kicked the football as hard as I could. 3. The principal warned the students to behave. 4. We went to the park. Simple sentences MUST have a Subject (noun) and a Verb. She ran. John shouted loudly. Often simple sentences will have another noun called an object. The object is the thing that the action happens to. John shouted loudly at his mum. They all got on to the bus. S v o Compound sentences Exercise 4: Join the simple sentences together to make compound sentences. Make sure you use the correct coordinating conjunction. Ex: She likes cats. She likes dogs. → She likes cats and she likes dogs 1. I eat rice. I eat candy. →__________________________________________________ 2. She likes basketball. She doesn’t like tennis. →__________________________________________________ Coordinating conjunctions F - For A - And N - Nor B - But O - Or Y - Yet S - So We join two main clauses together using a coordinating conjunction. This makes a compound sentence. Each clause must have a subject and a verb. We can join 2 or more simple sentences together to make one sentence using coordinating conjunctions. 1. I like Roblox, and I like PUBG. Main clause Main Clause 2. Sometimes I stay up late, but sometimes I go to bed early. Main Clause Main Clause 3. Did Jenny make this mess?
