We can use different techniques to make our writing persuasive.
For example: alliteration, strong adjectives, superlatives (the best,
the greatest, the most amazing), word play and metaphors.
Turning adjectives into adverbs by adding ‘ly’
In most cases, an adverb is formed by adding -ly to an adjective
If the adjective ends in -y, replace the y with i and add -ly
easy easily
If the adjective ends in -able, -ible, or -le, replace the -e with -y.
terrible terribly
Exercise 3: Change these adjectives into adverbs:
Ex: quick quickly

Very often we can turn adjectives into adverbs by adding ‘ly’.
First Conditional
We use the first conditional is used to talk about future events we believe are real or
possible.
The two clauses are interchangeable, which means we can also write first conditional
sentences like this:
